Where do you want to be?
Do you know what you want to do when you grow up? Do you know how to make sure you can do anything you want to do? What about who you want to be, or what you want to accomplish in 2 weeks, 6 months, or 5 years?Today, we’re talking about “goals.” Goals are things we want to do, either big, long-term things like graduate from university, or short-term goals like learn how to draw. Learning how to set goals, then work to achieve them, can help us feel better about ourselves by giving us a sense of pride and accomplishment. It can also help us avoid peer-pressure: when you already know what you want to do and how to do it, it’s easier to say no to someone when they want us to do something else. That’s why Tunde and Wunmi are going to talk to us today about goal setting: how it’s done and why it’s important. Then, everyone is going to take some time to think about their own goals, and how we can start working towards them today.
