BEHAVIOR CHANGE

The program has three important focus points which combine to help promote behavior change amongst young people. These are also the basic building stones of participatory learning.

1. Informing young people through the info cartoons, which you will find for each topic.

2. Positively changing attitudes through the activities. In the activities in this program students are required to develop and reflect on their own viewpoints regarding these important topics.

3. Building skills through the lessons and activities in the "personal skills" section.

Behavior change is achieved through a combination of improved knowledge, changed attitudes, and skill building. The student at the end of the day is the only one who can decide for him or herself which choices he or she will make and put into action. That is why it is so important that this program is given in a student centered and participatory way.
