ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
Welcome to Learning about Living, www.learningaboutliving.org, for all young people.
This program is an initiative of OneWorld UK and Butterfly Works.
Learning about Living, for all young people, is based partly on the Nigerian Family Life and HIV/AIDS Education (FLHE) curriculum and partly extended in co-operation with Girls' Power Initiative from Calabar, Nigeria.
The total program was developed by OneWorld UK and Butterfly Works in close collaboration with Action Health Incorporated (AHI) and NERDC; with input from Education as a Vaccine (EVA) and Girls' Power Initiative (GPI); supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Federal Ministry of Health; and tested with young people, principals and youth workers in Nigeria. Learning about Living contains photographs from Akintunde Bhusayo.
The FLHE Curriculum was developed by the NERDC as the National Agency for Curriculum development in the education sector in Nigeria in collaboration with Universal Basic Education, the Federal Ministry of Education and Action Health Incorporated.
This product is intended for use both in schools and community centers or any place where young people congregate.
