Learning to Like Myself

Every person has their own talents, skills, dreams, goals, intelligence, and personality. How we feel about ourselves and our abilities contributes to what is called our “self-esteem,” a judgment that each individual makes about him or herself.

It is important for everyone, young and old alike, to know and value themselves. When we feel good about ourselves, we feel more capable of handling academic and personal challenges, and enjoy life more. In order to feel good about ourselves, we need to identify our strengths and positive qualities and feel certain of our worth.
