Here in Nigeria, we are constantly surrounded by works of art. Art can be paintings, pictures and sculptures like you would find in a museum or display in your home, but art can also be everyday things like the music you hear, the murals and graffiti you see around you, and the costumes people wear on the streets.

What is the purpose of art? Usually, art is a way of conveying a message – of telling you what an artist thinks about a subject. Art can be about love, beauty, or God. Sometimes, art is about sexuality, and sometimes art uses sexuality to talk about people and culture. Today we’re going to talk about the different places we find art in our everyday lives, and what it teaches us about the world around us.
